Some may have pigeon holed him as a test specialist but it's not that he doesn't have the ability to be good in other formats it's that he hasn't been consistent in those formats and that's probably mainly been mental.
He's done pretty well this BPL so he's starting to make a case for t20s.
With a lot of the national team openers being out of form he's putting his name up for a recall in shorter formats but he still needs to show more consistency imo.
