@ZeeshanM: To be honest the OP could have been written a bit better. At the moment it reads like scattered (but interesting) musings on how cricket can be perceived without a coherent narrative or structure. Admittedly that is very difficult and some of your lines were great, for instance: "It's Scheherezeda's woven fable which unfurls an excitement in even the most boring game of Test matches that carries on over the next night gripping us in a suspense. I too would highly recommend CLR James' "Beyond a Boundary" as well as the 'Empire of Cricket' documentary series that is available on YouTube.
