Only when England and Australia play each other is when they play 5 Test match series. When India plays England or Australia, they play a 4 Test match series. Even SA get 3 Test match series against the likes of Australia, England and India. The rest play 3 Test match series at the most.

I see next year we're slotted to play SL, WI, and Zimbabwe in Test series and India in an ODI series. So that's about 6 Tests next year which is about what we get. It'll be tough to make the SL series a 3 Test series since they apparently have big tour with Pakistan. I doubt WI would want to make our tour a 3 Test match series. We should however push India to make the ODI series a 2 Test series and then against Zimbabwe we should make it a 3 Test series. That way we can add about 3 Tests without adding any opponents to our schedule and that'd bring it up to 9 Tests for the year which would be great.

For that to happen though, BCB needs to be proactive now and try to contact all the boards and try to get as many matches out of as they can. If they approach them too late, those boards would refuse.
