Whatmore must be feeling that he has reached a dead end with Bangladesh team and there may not be much more he may be able to achieve with the present BD line up. It will be no surprise if BD loses heavily in England in their forthcoming tour despite his presence.
So Whatmore may have sensed that this was his opportunity to switch to a less frustrating and relatively easier job of coaching India.
