I have visited the US numerous times (my wife is from there), and I am consistently amused and aghast at how ignorant Americans are about other countries. Once again it depends where in US you are. It’s a vast country with 330m people. And to be quite honest, Americans don’t really care about what happens outside. Coz US is the only thing that matters.
