Couldn't have put it better myself. We need to reform our subverted democracy in meaningful and sustainable ways, and a major opposition party closely competitive at the polls can and must play a critical part in all that.

The BNP leadership, much like its counterpart in the AL, is again proving itself quite adept at believing its own misguidance and lies and putting themselves on the wrong side of history. Tough to recover from that politically, just look at Jamaat-Shibir.
