This unique Lake located above the Islands, Western Australia Recherce in the Kalbarri Region. Lake, this one’s not including Lake, the Lake has a water color with different lakes in General. Lake Hillier, a lake that has the color pink or pink is a remarkable natural wonders. The Lake is very beautiful if you look at the view from the top, let alone the Lake is also surrounded by eucalyptus trees that looked green. The Lake looks like fairyland was first discovered by a navigator in the United Kingdom named Matthew Flinders in 1802. Then Flinders was doing mountaineering. But after arriving at the top of a high enough he found the pink Lake. Until now no one has to know where the origin of the Lake to be pink. According to me it is a natural wonder, how do you think?
Amongst the only Three Pink Lakes of This universe one is at Senegal another is at California and this one at Australia. This Pink Lake is a salt lake in the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia. It lies about 3 kilometres (2 mi) west of Esperance and is bounded to the East by the South Coast Highway.
The lake is not always pink in colour but the distinctive colour of the water when the lake is pink it is supposed that it is a result of the green alga Dunaliella salina, halobacterium Halobacteria cutirubrum, and or high concentration of brine shrimp. Once the lake water reaches a salinity level greater than that of sea water, the temperature is high enough and adequate light conditions are provided, the alga begins to accumulate the red pigment beta carotene. The pink halobacteria grow in the salt crust at the bottom of the lake and the colour of the lake is a result of the balance between D. salina and H. cutirubrum. But The Scientists are not Sure.
The lake has been identified by BirdLife International as an Important Bird Area (IBA) because it usually supports significant numbers of Hooded Plovers and sometimes over 1% of the world population of Banded Stilts.
Prior to salt production the lake's environment was investigated in the 1980s Table salt is produced in solar ponds at the eastern end of the lake. The company WA Salt supply produce water softening salt, coarse salt and sheepskin salt at the Esperance site. The salt is kiln dried, crushed and bagged at the site before being distributed.
