I think the boys played reasonably well today, coming from 88-5 to score 229 against an Australian team is no mean feat. And I don't think there is anything the bowling side can do when a batsman plays as well as Watto played today, the way he was clearing the boundary was absolutely unreal.
I think it would be extremely unfair to say that we have not developed/improved. Most of the batsmen are now technically better compared to any previous team, the mental strength has also increased. if you look at the number of close games Bangladesh has pulled off, you would understand that. The bowling unit, specially the pace unit is better than ever before.
But the reality is, still we are quite a way behind the big 6 teams, we still need heaps more consistency from our batsman to become a real force in world cricket, and you meant this by "reality check".
