Yes, Associate Countries are allowed field an Under 16 team in this tournament as it has been sanctioned by the ICC. Ireland have chosen to bring 5 Under 16's and 9 Under 15's in their squad of 14.

However that allowance to Associate Countries is in recognition of the clear disparity between Test and Associate countries. There are vast differences between Test and Associate countries the major ones being the numbers playing the games, the infrastructure and training and the finances available.

My point on the use of wrist tests is completely different and the fact that I am from an Associate Country does not lessen the merits of my arguements.
