Surely there is a government record of their birth. The criteria for participating in the tournament is to be born on or after 1 September 1992 which is not that long ago.

In South Asian countries ? Yes. It's common culture in South Asian countries to report wrong age (reporting to be younger) for certification purpose as government jobs here have age limits. It's easy to cheat age here as hospitals don't keep a record of births.

I heard age cheating is also a problem in many other Asian and African countries.
