Opportunistic bastards...so much negative press, deserved and undeserved. And we add another story to it.
I always take a lot of pride in the fact that, we aren't Pakistan and while this was disgraceful, tbf, this is a shock because this is rare in Bangladesh...but it is yet another case of shooting ourselves in the foot - something we're very good at.
The image in the west of Bangladeshi muslims is one of..a pious population, but one that is moderate and tolerant. This one incident doesn't disprove that, but what it does is, it allows the western media to tie us in with the mad over a cartoon mob, and worse, start mentioning us alongside Pakistan.
There can be no good in being mentioned in the same sentence as Pakistan, none....
