hahahaha... LTTE is the biggest bullsh*t uttering terror outfit in the world... so when they using 300,000 people as human shield to protect their own asses were they not thinking about the civilian suffering ?
do u know why they didnt do that ? if there were no civilians..it would have taken us roughly about 2 hours to level the 4km area they were heldup in
..the blast radious of a 155mm is a lot & a total barrage of a Multi Barrel Rocket Launcher is even more...
so the olny way LTTE could hold on was through civilians.. once they were rescued it was all over...

there are still a few remaining bands here & there in the east & in hiding (about 40-60 I guess) but they have no leadership, no one to contact (because the entire leadership was killed) & no motivation.and what are they gonna do when they run out of ammunition ? no supplies period....and already cleanup ops are going on...just 2 weeks before the SLA came up on a 10 member group like this an massacred the entire gorup..its just a matter of time for the remaining ones...
