BCCI does not make any money out of Ranji Trophy and is in fact quite generous about it. Its income is almost entirely from sponsorships and selling of the rights to international matches. The players are paid Rs.80K and 100K for 4&5 day matches and there are no entry fees for spectators. At the most, BCB will have to bear the transportation and accomodation expenses of the players, as the rest of the teams.
