Well they won't just hand it to us. It is a big tournament and NZ would love to play in it I'm sure. We have to do our part and try to at least be #8 so that we can compete in the tourney. Your right though, this upcoming Zimbabwe series will be crucial. I believe we play 3 ODIS so 1 loss and we could be in serious trouble. Maybe that pressure would help our players stay focused if they really want to be a part of it.

I think that Zimbabwe series will consist of 3 test matches and 5 ODIs as there was a lot of discussion between both boards at the last ICC meeting. New Zealand only has a population of 5 million so they're really a waste in my mind for Bangladesh in that tournament. Amazing though that the number 1 ranked ODI all-rounder won't be playing in that ODI tournament.
