Btw, he was too mild-mannered for a fast-bowlers. If his short-pitched delivery ended up hitting a batsman's body, he would walk up to the batsman apologetically  . It was quite amusing and so much in contrast to Zaheer who would be fuming at his mouth.

He wasnt mild mannered, but he just didnt have the killer instinct. I remember he hit ponting with a bouncer(2000 tour of australia?), it shook ponting up, he asked ponting "how was it", ponting furiously responded and gave poor srinath a mouthful. The next delivery ponting took a run and directly ran towards srinath, sri got scared and jumped out of the way.
zaheer on the other hand is naturally agressive, for some people its natural...... like shahadat. for some its just not there.
