Despite the great number of one sided encounters in ODI, most of the nail biting finishes in the recent past has been in ODI games. And I do not think any alterations are needed right now. As someone else said, even the Ban-Eng ODI's in England were able to attract almost full houses, so the lack of interest argument is B* imo.
Of course ODI could do with a better scheduling, ICC intervening and giving equal opportunity to each team. But the format doesn't need any change, and as some of the experts believe that 3 formats can't co-exist, I beg to differ. There will always be cricket romantics who would sit through 5 days of cricket, excitement lovers who would watch 3 hours of T20 and several in between who would not mind 100 overs of cricket a day.
