In any professional sports, if a captain is Mr. Nice all the time, he may not get the output from his players, thus he may not get the wins. Captaincy is a combination of hard and soft attitude which is subject to the situation and to that interacting person's mental stage or strength. At the end of every thing that you like or not, what matters is a win.
