I think we have an adequate opening test combo: Hannan and Omar.

Three things on my list would be:

1. Enough experimentation, go for the result. We've experimented with batting orders, bowling orders, player selection (Hasibul, Rokon, Kabir etc.) The only one left to throw into the fray is Nafis, Anwar & Co. Enough experiments, let's put the best team on the ground. The last thing we need is to drag Asif Karim (Enamul Hoq and Aravinda Desilva (Nannu) out of semi-retirement and let them have a go in the team as well.

2. Need two teams. One for ODI (minus Syeve Waugh a.k.a. Habibul Bashar, Belim) and the regular test team. Not everyone is made out to be a ODI player at every stage of his career, yet they are worth their weight in test cricket (ask S.Waugh today, or Sunny Gavaskar about his first world Cup)

3. Need a captain- perhaphs two. One for each version of the game. These players need to be able to merit their inclusion in the squad as players alone. We don't have the luxury of the Brearley model.
