Default Top ten

Hi guys, here is my top ten (according to performance/record/achievemet in all levels of cricket) of BD cricket, or i call it
WISE SHAH Top ten january 2008

1. Tamim Iqbal---- a great NZ tour with some consistent performance
2. Junaed Siddiqui--for hope of new opening batsman
3. Shahadat Hossain
4. mashrafe Mortaza
5. sohrawardi shuvo----under 19 captain
6. marshall Ayub---under 19 batsman
7. Mosharraf Rubel--- great all rounder (NCL)
8. nazim uddin--- NCL
9. Imrul kayes--- for making centuries after centuries--NCL
10.Esanul haq sezan--NCL

This top ten is based on current Bd performance of international level, domestic league and under 19 cricket . Hope u guys enjoyed this thread after a disaster tour in NZ. this is first top ten thread, so i considered cricketer's performance based on last 3 months. another top ten will come in february 2008. that will be based on januray to february performance. you guys can change the top ten order based on current performance and make your own top ten. I give more preference on International, then under 19 international and then our domestic leage.any rep will be appreciated.

Half of Jauary is still left so subject to change:

1. JS didn't quit. (was my biggest worry)
2. Getting ready for the World Cup (U-19) and SA dholai series (national team)
3. Khulna winning the NCL (4 day)
4. Mushi's excellent diving catches in tests
5. Mash showing he is not finished
6. First time bowling out an opposition in all test matches in a series (not Zim)
7. First time a BD batsman (Tamim) leading all highest run scorer table in a test series (not Zim) This is a big one. (eventhough opponents batted two or three innings mostly - never happened before)
8. We can complain against any biased umpire and ask his removal otherwise call of the series (learning from the powerful ones - how to do business)
I would fill the remaining two after the month of January finishes.

That's quite the accomplisment, specially in New Zeland. And remember, he also missed an inning due to his injury so he also only batted 3 innings.

bdchamp's Monthly Highs and Low's

High:
Tamim Iqbal:Highest run-score in NZ, average of 50+ in tests
Mosharof Hossain Rubel:Highest wicket-taker in first-class NCL
Sajedul Islam: Took 3 wickets on debut test and had a great NCL
Alok Kapali: Two great NCL seasons in a row good chance of returning to BD team

Medium:
Jamie Siddons:Began his first month of his multi-million taka contract but saw his side whitewashed in NZ
Junaed Siddique: superb half-century on debut but horrible ODI performance
Mashrafe Mortaza:good test bowling but terrible ODI performance
Mohammad Ashraful: 70 off less than 60 balls and good bowling other than that bad tour
Mohammad Rafique: BD career coming to an end but rumours over signing with ICL

Low:
Javed Omar, Nazmul Hossain: Sent home without playing a single match
Mushfiqur Rahim: Horrible performance end in sight
Rest of BD team: Disastrous tour
