I know 72 Hours Early but I can't get that Horrible Taste of the 1st Test out of my Mouth.
Shahadat will get Reverse Swing, Ash, Juniad, Tamim, Everyone Wearing Green and Red Will Score Runs, Spinners will do the Job. The 1st Test will be just a mere footnote in Our Crickets History, This Test Will be an Entire Chapter.
This is our Home Ground, This is where we dominated the 1st 2 ODI's this is where going to Pick up our 2nd Test Win and Level the Series.

12.6 Syed Rasel to Sangakkara, OUT: What a delivery, completely fooled Sangakkara, first five delivery were the outswingers and now, this one comes in sharply, Sangakkara tries to left it and ball hits the off stump, top class bowling!

Hope to see a better show in the Mirpur stadium. The wicket should be even slower....

regardless of what other people say, think, i think Bangladesh has done a fabulous job in the first test in chittagong i give them 10/10. because:
they passed 240 in each of the innings,
and restricted opposition below 200(rarely does it happen in our cricket history, right?)
mistakes from Ashraful as a captain is unaviodable and as a batsmen and a fielder because we all know about his character...
Vettori did a brilliant job, let's say we didn't make those little mistakes here and there then i think it was a still a "maybe" that we would win because chasing 172 runs with 90 overs(1 day) and eight wickets is a piece of cake in test cricket(regarless of oppostion) given the pitch conditions....but alhamdulillah i am very happy we narrowed our loss margin to 3 wickets , let's not forget umpire helped too in our cause.
if i am to be critical, i would blame Bangladesh's top order failure aside from Shakib, Rahim and a couple of others in the 2nd innings.
let's face it: Shahadat Hossain can't produce 6/27 every innings...
anyways, 2nd test match, i hope we do well.

my overall message: we performed beyond expectation that's why 10/10! if we judged way too critically, off course, there is always "error" in cricket!

I think the Mirpur pitch is a more traditional sub-continental wicket which means that batting should get much tougher in the later days as opposed to the pitch in CTG where it actually got easier to bat as the match went on. Looking for a big knock from Ashraful. He usually performs when he is under the pressure of being dropped. So this match will be a nice test for the Siddons regime. We will finally get to see if our team will be consistently competitive in Tests. Go BD GO!!!!

As far as i kno, mirpur pitch is LEAST like a sub continent pitch. Sub continent e 'black soil' er pitch r koeta ase, thik jani na. This is a more 'sporting' pitch.

Just the fact that NZ needed a MONUMENTAL and historic effort from their captain to barely squeak (3 wickets is close) out a win doesnt mean we did bad. I dunno where ppl get that. I mean we are a team that almost never makes opponent bat twice, and here we almost win, yet people are pissed off....

Any news on Roqibul? A fit Roqibul would be an invaluable addition to our batting. At the same time it would be unfair to axe Rajin after giving him only one Test. The selectors must persevere with whoever they pick for at least a couple of series, be it Rajin, Nayeem, or Junaid.
I am especially impressed with our team's performance considering how inexperienced it was. We probably had only 3 players who had played more than 10 tests. That's a remarkable statistic. And we suffered horrible collapses in both innings, but refused to give in as we have done so many times before. All of this gives me a lot of reason to hope for even better things for the next test.

agreed. But if we're going to have rokib in the team, someone needs to be dropped to accomodate him...

Follow Kumble!! Come on Ash!! Give it up!! I will not call for your head if you give up your position for the next test. You are the one you have under performed the most. You should know. If not look at the scorecard. Give up your spot!!
For the team's sake show you can do anything. For your players, fans show that you can even sit out a test watch the match at home having home cooking meal. I will be ever grateful. So will be Bangladesh. For Multan we blame the umpires. For Chittagong I blame you. For Mirpur I will again blame you.
