Great thread Omio.

Do you want to know what's on my mind? Well, we have our exams coming up next week. And throughout this stressful times, I can't help but think about the time when I was a kid and my parents would threaten to send me back in Bangladesh for "haal chash" at the country side. Now as I grow older, I can't help but ponder if it would've really been that bad to be sent back to Bangladesh as a rural farmer.

My parents used to do the same thing to me. My mom always said to me "haal chas chara ar tou kisu hote parbi na".

Honestly Speaking, In my opinion, the lives of these people are far more wonderful than some other people who live overseas...Life might have been wonderful because you it is a simple, yet honorable life. without their efforts, the 16+crore people of bangladesh Would not recieve rice in their tummy(thukku, about 30% of these people has nothing to eat anyways on a daily basis!) everyday!

of course, you would miss living the lazy life, using internet, school and all the fun things we take for granted...

quoting an ancient post from tonoy, i think i would have loved this life IF all my electricity privileges are provided...but being a kid from this generation I can't imagine myself without internet/video game/live streaming online sports for even two days.....

I guess there is a small price to pay for every privilege we have..dealing with stress, deadlines but i guess it is worth it!

buy players with experience and skills. Dont buy cheap useless players for 1-2 k's. go on a bigger budget and buy players not slightly but wlel above your current team players skills and experience.

I've got SAT's coming up in May and I need to do well. However, instead of studying, all I do is watch Scrubs.

to prepare for english, i recommend read lots and loads of novels that spark your interest. ALhamdulillah, my math was always decent enough, i got a 670 out of 800 on that...english? from PSAT my score improved from 360 to 490...to me that's an achivement because back then my english was not(I forced myself to like it since everyone i knew read it and it was kinda interesting at one phase of my life...after the third novel i lost interest!)

btw Rommel, I visited Atlanta last week, didn't bother letting you know because it was only for 2 days...I was there for an Islamic conference with my friends... it is indeed such a beautiful clean city...

the drive itself back and forth took two days...

The (in)glorious uncertainty of how things would shape up in next couple of weeks for me.
But surprisingly (for me), i'm quite at peace.
Whatever happens, it will happen from Allah, and Allah knows best.

Then which of the favors of your Lord will you deny? "We do not deny any of our Lord's bounties/favors upon us."
