average player.
But consistency wise better than Ash,Alok.
Weak point:very slow starter
Strength: good fielder, decent bowler, can stay in the middle & score runs but needs lot of time to set.

he didn't get enough time to get set today... need to send him to bat right at the toss so that he gets that extra 30 minutes

Kapali just made his comeback into the ODI team after long time and he has not played much at all last 3 or 4 years so its not fair to say that.. After the next two ODI matches (if they both play) then you can judge who is consistent or not after the series ends, if you wish to..

oi hoilo ar ki sob gulai eki brikker fol kunota teto kunota tok ababr kunota misti, guraiya firaiya sommanjonok porajoy !!

Ash and Alok are quick to let you relief from the torture the long they last in the crease on the other hand Nayeem will have his good healthy average batting while keep you torture like killing me softly type of batting !! I thought Nayeem can change but nothing changed same old story save your butt and torture the fans by batting turtle..

All of them are same to me, flop and flukes !!!

i think he is a great prospect because he can clearly compliment the field setting and keep fielders busy in the inner ring by hitting the ball to them... he looks technically sound as well...
he cemented his place in the batting order so well that he couldnt break free from it and run between the wickets

The game was lost when we gave up close to 300 runs. How foten did we chased 290+ runs? Not that many. With or without Naaem, this team is not capable to cross 270+ that often.

Its not that only Naeem who stugles with the RR, established and well known mardanga Tamim's RR was not the be proud of also. Their start pretty muck killed the 1% hope of winning that we had.

Individually Naeem did lot go good for his career. Not only this will oopen it up few more chances in ODI top of the line, but it may open up opportunity for the TEST also.

Midterm, Naeem have to address his RR if he want to play in the ODI in a permanent basis.

Naeem is a smart man. While other new players are thinking ODI series, Naeem is auditioning for upcomming TEST series.

Talent? who wasted and played 40+ dot balls opening the batting on a good batting pitch, when ya chasing a big total of 299 to win, you call that a talent? Blind fan is what I can see..

There is no point blaming Nayeem. Its the team management who sent him to open.
And all the fans who were crying to send Nayeem at #3 ar to replace Imrul, got their answer.

Nayeem is more of an grafter than chokka Nayeem, whether you send him at 1 or at 11.

So today we know for fact, Nayeem is not a top/middle order caliber ODI batsman.

Well at least he knows how to stay in the wicket. He is better than Ashraful and Alok in terms of consistency.

I think Nayeem has very good prospect in our Test team as of today.

For ODI he needs to learn how to rotate the strike not just block... block .... block and boom 4/6. He wasted too many balls today most of them can be converted to 1s/2s. He can be good at it.

No T20 for him.

And wtf with Atahar? I thought Shameem was the idiot one, now Atahar started talking about "Chhokka Nayeem" too? Do they not have any thing else to say about this chap when ever they see him out to play?

I think you get your answer when an opposition bowler says this: "We didn't want to get the guy out because he was winning the game for us..."
