*****Official Match Thread - Semi Final 1: Sri Lanka v Pakistan*****
Well here we are folks....this tournament which started out quite poorly, crowds, organization and the actual quality of cricket has gone from strength to strength as the tournament has progressed.
Which brings us to our two opponents today....
V
Sri Lanka - host nation, who are probably the neutrals team atm, and their opponents..
Pakistan - the wildly inconsistent team, who happen to be the most consistent team in T20 WC history. 2 finals and 2 semi finals in 4 editions
Who will win this battle of the subcontinental giants??? Who are the players to watch out for?

Dilshan not looking great...and the pressure results in Mahela getting out.
Big wicket for Pakistan...

17.4 Umar Gul to Mendis, 1 no ball, given out lbw, Mendis moved across to clip it square, pitched on middle and off, Mendis missed as he tried to play the shot, was trapped in front of the off stump, the umpire wants to check if it was a no-ball and replays show Gul has bowled a no-ball, not sure there was any part of the foot behind the line as it landed
++++++
Drama. Btw what is dilshan doing?!???? SR below 90 after batting for 18 overs

If this pitch is really crap and SL win, Dilshan will be the hero...but if Pakistan chase this comfortably...he'll be the goat

139...surely that's not enough? Pakistan bowled well except for that last over.

Sri Lanka has the bowlers to defend this, but Pakistan has the batsmen to topple this, comfortably. Game on.

If Ashraful played an inning like Dilshan, some here would call on the BCB to make him captain.

Looks like Pak is going to win it, SL hasn't posted enough runs I guess. They were too slow to start with...
