one bad tournament and everybody is trying to hang him. Didn't he win the Man of Series last tournament we played? Yes, I know it was against Zimbabwe.

We are not trying to do injustice to him, but reality is if you do not perform well or having difficulties meeting expectations either by improving you to meet the goal of the team or take time off if fail to improve. Otherwise it is normal to get blame for the failures when entire world is judgemental and that is the new norm.

a player needs to be dropped when he is not performing series after series, like Nafees, Zunaid, Alok etc. But he should not get dropped from the team (odi only) only because he failed on series. perfect example of this is Mitchel Johnson from Australia. He had the worst series in his life in the last Ashes but they didn't drop him. Now look at him, he found his touch again.

this was a bad series for the bowlers in general, no need to pick on razzak, he did well in the last series against zimbabwe. as said, you drop someone if they aren't performing series after series, one bad series doesn't warrant a drop (unless it's on the back of a run of bad series).

Thinking of dropping Razzak this point in time would be one of the foolest decision by management. yes he was pretty ordinary and reasons behind it are also very obvious. First the ball was wet and the opponents are best players of spin in the world. I read Mahmudullah was saying in an interview with Prothom-alo that how difficult it was to even grip the ball let alone spinning it. It could have been a different story had bangladesh got the chance to field first. And those who think he is struggling with his changed action should know that he probably has got few man of the match award with his changed action.
