What about Naeem? Could s'body let me know his TEST statistics? No doubt Naeem is a good player but in my humble opinion he is not consistent performer with the bat or with the ball.

I am OK with this team, hopefully our batters will not let us down... Hopefully, Shahadat will be on song as well.

reasonable squad.... .... ....

#raj or enamul..... not too much between them. anyway raj knows if he does not perform enamul will be playing next game replacing him.

#rubel or shafiul..... the pacers will get very little to bowl . and for short burst rubel can be effective as a wicket taker or unsettling batsmen better than shafiul. and like enam he will keep both the pacers on their toes as both of them know shafiul may replace anyone of them in the 2nd match.

#jahurul : just wait one match, either imrul, junaed or aftab will ensure ur debut in the 2nd test

I would say only Junaed is a weak link. Imrul is pretty good.

I dun get why everyone is against Aftab in terms of playing test and ODI. Look at his last test. He returned to national cricket after soo long and scored 33 of 56 with a strike rate of 58.92 which is perfect for tests. on the second innings he only socred 8 but played 37 bowls and and got run out unfortunately. He also did well on the last ODI against England. I happy that he is in. He is experienced which is something Bangladesh team he lacking right now.

The key to this match is definitely our bowlers no doubt. But Roqibul performed horrible on his last tests. So i dun see the difference. Junaed will score like 30 runs and than he will return. His performance is soo predictable

Totally. And if they can bat out more than 2 sessions.. thats a bonus. I am especially curious on the Imrul/Zunaed pair when they are most likely to edge the ball to slips or get out looking clueless whilst Aftab will go for slog shot or off-stump hoick. I desperately want to be proved wrong!!

After watching today's play it would be interesting to see how the management would justify the team and the decision. Taking Razzak in the test team is a big mistake. He is a very good ODI bowler but not suited for the longer version. Rubel is still very raw and lacks temperament.

Batting is yet to come. But I suspect Aftab and Junaid would fail to justify his selection. Hope they would prove me wrong.

When Test match starts with a stupid decision of bowling first, then it is difficult to judge the performance of bowlers, specially spinners and here the player is Razzak. We can label him permanently as a ODI bowler from now on and never consider him for tests. Then question comes, what other spinners did (read Sakib) in this 1st day pitch?
