Are we still a Minnow?

- Yes, and I am proud of it. I pride in being an underdog.

What is underdog? One that is expected to lose
What is minnow? Tiny, small- expected to get beat up It's an un-sporty term, which I expect the cricket nations to use.

Pakistanis are not underdogs, they are the dark horse, so are SL. They were UD in 1992. SL were underdogs in 1996, we are the underdog of 2011. If we are going to separate Underdog and Minnows, then we were minnows in 07, 11 we are underdogs.

In ODIs, Bangladesh will have to win matches to keep their N0 8 spot, if they want to play in the Champions trophy. this should be their goal.

Unbelievable thread! Have some self respect guys.

Words like 'minnows', 'third world countries' really annoys me. I think these words were created to brainwash weak minded people.

Minnows for NZ and WI??? Not anymore, unsurprisingly beating NZ and WI wouldn't be cause of over-celebrations, despite us having yet to beat a fullstrength WI side, coz of their own recent poor form.

Minnows for associates??? Nope.
Aus, SL, Ind, Pak, Eng, SA all lost to us occasionally; that doesn't bring them to our level. Similarly, Ire and Ned beat us occasionally too; but that doesn't take us to their level either...though I agree Ireland, exceptionally, remains a small voodoo-sort for us but that's about it, and Ned improved quite a lot as well.
top post!

Ya, really. Like I said, I only except these cricketing countries to use this term. Why can't they just say Underdogs?

If BD loses to Ireland, the cricketing nations will continue to call them Minnows.
