This must rank just behind your WC win....hahah.

Seriously, not sure you guys learned anything from this match about your team, but I suppose winning is a good habit, even if it is against rubbish opposition.

Mushfiqur Rahim: "After I lost the toss, when you are 5 for 50, it's difficult to come back. But we fought back well in the second innings. All credit to Pakistan bowlers. Nazimuddin in his first Test showed how to play these guys, Shakib also. If we batted better in the first innings and took our catches. Sometimes we feel sorry for the crowd since they come and support us every time, though we haven't been able to win often."

Misbah: "The confidence the team has got from the wins, over the past year and a half is helping us. Our batsmen are experienced now, they know what the depends of Test cricket are. Rehman is our main spinner and he is performing well since the day he came into the side. We are not relying only on Rehman or Ajmal, Gul is bowling well, so is Cheema, Hafeez too. Everybody is friends in the dressing room, there are no seniors or juniors, we are enjoying ourselves. Younis has a terrific, every match he has been giving 110%, he has helped everyone."

The Man of the Match is Younis Khan: "As a senior guy, all the time I want to inspire the youngsters. The key is to enjoy cricket, we have a lot of travel, a lot of pressure, you need to enjoy the game. [About his fitness] Whenever I have a chance to play cricket, I just play. All the credit goes to the boys, every single player wants to perform."

Innings defeat, my word we are worse than I thought

Maybe its best if we give up test status rather it being taken away from us

Too many humiliating defeats and its going to get a whole lot worse under Law

Seriously, we did have much worse than this... Pakistan did us a favor by not scoring 700 runs or alllowing a la Gillespie for Ajaiz Cheema!!!

Batting must be improved and eventually, we will do that. Nazimuddin batting and Elias Sunny's wicket taking proves that if the players play for the spots and play many first class matches before they come in, they will be a better player.

Unless we also improve our bowling and make it like how Ajmal was creating fear in the minds of batsmen,, we wont be winning test cricket. Period.Shevagh mentioned this year ago and we all know that it is true. We dont even have a Rafique anymore, imagine that!!! BCB must do more to improve the first class status and the bowling department and we all have said this many many times.. I have 2 very specific ideas to make it better:

1. Making it a bonus point for NCL to allow fast bowlers to bowl minimum of 1/3 of total overs bowled by a team.. This will encourage the teams to allow the pacers to bowl more overs than been taken away after only 4-5 overs as Mashrafee, Shahadat often mentioned..

2. Bringing in an expert fast bowling stategist to improve the pitch conditions, bowling plans and overall planning for the country. This can be either having an Pace Academy or having a new position under the CEO to make sure that a game plan is developed to create new, attactive fast bowlers who has the skills, technique and body to become international stars. You see Shafiul, Rasel, Mashrafee like weak physique player and you know that they wont sustain at highest level for too long unless they get the right care and nurture despite their talent and hard work. And only dedicated staff beyond the national team can take care of them.

actually IMHO this is the worst defeat in Bangladesh test history

Reason:since 2008 we had only one innings defeat before this one vs england..and in this time we took many matches to the 5th day,by our standards that was very good..we won a day over the opposition at most of the time..all of this was showing some sign of improvement, slow or not it was a sign...but this test has spanked all the hard work of before..we didn't win one session, we lost by innings and 185+ runs we lost the test in three and a half day..so this test actually blundered our progress as every critic around the world is saying Bangladesh is going Backwards..
