১ মার্চ ১৯৭১, ঢাকা স্টেডিয়ামে টেস্ট ম্যাচ চলছিলো আন্তর্জাতিক একাদশ ও বিসিসিপি একাদশের মধ্যে। এমন সময় রেডিওতে ঘোষণা এলো ইয়াহিয়ার, জাতীয় সংসদের অধিবেশন অনির্দিষ্ট কালের জন্য স্থগিত করা হয়েছে। মুহূর্তেই আগুন জ্বলে উঠলো, প্রতিবাদে ফেটে পড়লো দর্শকরা, ক্রিকেটপ্রেমী বাঙালী হয়ে গেলো বিপ্লবী, পন্ড ম্যাচ। মাঠের মধ্যে থাকা নিরাপত্তারক্ষীরা� � বন্দুক বাগিয়ে তাদের দায়িত্বপালনে নেমে পড়লো, অগ্নিঝরা মার্চের প্রথম আগুনটা জ্বলেছিলো এখানেই, এভাবেই... ছবি কৃতজ্ঞতা: আফতাব আহমেদ
