Another Index in which Bangladesh lead South Asia

World Health Organization report on the best health care systems in the world (WHO used 2000 data)...surprisingly Bangladesh (rank 88th) is ahead of India (112) and Pakistan (122)...Sri Lanka is ranked 76th. Although we rank 88th, our health care expenditure per capita is 144th meaning we get pretty good value for what little we spend.

Surprisingly Oman (8th), Greece (14th), Columbia (22nd), Saudi Arabia (26th), UAE (27th), and Morocco (29th) all rank higher than the United States (37th).

US spends more than any other nation per capita on health care and has the 37th best one. This just proves how insurance corporations and their Republican allies are just scamming the American people.

I really really want to know what aspects of the healthcare system they considered in their analysis. If you consider healthcare system holistically, including care, delivery, efficiency, research, etc...BD is far far behind. I've heard everything from wrong treatment to lack of proper equipment for BD hospitals. Even with that, if they're ahead of Indian hospitals, kudos them...but I doubt it man!

Comparing healthcare systems is extremely difficult and there are many aspects to compare, so its impossible to have a reliable rank.

ex. Many of the countries that are ranked ahead of the USA are 2nd and 3rd world countries.

Pretty sure people would go to the US rather than Columbia or Greece for cancer treatment or something more serious, but then again it is only if you can pay for it (which causes problems in comparing the systems). That is why WHO never conducted a report after 2000.
