Nazmul went wicketless in the two games he played during Bangladesh's tour of Europe last month. Abul Hasan, who also didn't pick a wicket in Ireland and the Netherlands, was preferred due to his extra pace. These selectors probably never heard of people like Richard Hadlee, Kapil Dev, or McGrath.

people always put mcgrath in the slow category when if you look at his speeds he was regularly between 135kph-140kph, a bit quicker than guys like nazmul, rasel, vaas, ian harvey, adam dale, nathan bracken. hadlee also had a bit of pace when he chose to use it. but your point is still valid, mediums and medium-fast bowlers can be very effective.

I don't even know what to say about the selector's logic, Abul got thrashed all over the place by the Irish even with his extra pace. Even Tait has pace and he got thrashed by us, these fools think speed is everything.

Condolences to Nazmul for being dropped. I don't see much happening with this squad. Hope the Best XI will be fielded. Anyway, I admire Nazmul's patience he has benched countless times. Insha'Allah he'll come back strongly.

They actually compared Nazmul, purely a bowler, to a batting allrounder like Farhad.
Now Nazmul has to learn to bat as well to satisfy our selectors.

Perseverance or patience cannot be in infinite supply. Plus, even if he plays well one match, so what? He has been dropped before after a well-played match.

Koi Feza ar Koi Naz Apa...anyways not sure as I did not see them for a while besides few of the chances Naz got where he delivered, but not sure where our selecters are going with the team especially with pace department and the notion of having all players who can bat and give 5-10 runs!! what on earth then the top and middle order doing if they can not deliver...back to Naz...hopefully he will start to play innings like Shahadat Shahrukh Khan in A team matches or para moholla type practice matches just like what Rok did few days ago b4 Eurpoe t20 tour.

Hope BCB sort out Within a month just like they did with Masha nd Rubel.
Shafiul needs an operation too, but BCB not helping him whatsoever. Hope Nazmul doesn't have the same faith as Shafiul and many others in the past

Injured and forgotten
The fast bowling department has never been one of Bangladesh’s strengths as was highlighted by the recent series in Sri Lanka. But recently pacer Robiul Islam who took 15 wickets in the Test series against Zimbabwe brought pacers into the limelight for the right reasons. The Bangladesh cricket team is currently struggling to get longer term service from their fast blowers due to a number of reasons many of which are medical.
Interestingly pacer Shafiul Islam and all-rounder Nasir Hossain will fly to South Africa after finishing the Zimbabwe series as they are suffering from injuries but another fast bowler Nazmul Hossain who hurt his knee during a practice session in Sri Lanka two months ago is still waiting for the Bangladesh Cricket Board’s approval for his treatment.

I think this is borderline criminal! BCB is showing that Nazmul really is the stepson...

Nazmul to go to Australia
SPORTS REPORTER
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) have belatedly decided to send paceman Nazmul Hossain to Australia for a knee-replacement surgery. The decision comes almost two months after the bowler twisted his left knee during a practice session in Sri Lanka in March.
The BCB is now waiting for a response from Dr David Young in Melbourne, who has earlier conducted a number of surgeries on Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, to confirm Nazmul’s travel-date.
“We got the confirmation from the board on Thursday. He has already received the Australian visa, now all that we require is an appointment with Dr David,” said BCB’s sports physician Dr Debasish Chowdhury.
“It will take him approximately four to six months to recover after the operation. Our target is to get him ready for the New Zealand series in October,” added Debasish. The news comes as a relief for Nazmul, who had been waiting for the board’s decision ever since he returned to the country in March. While Tuesday’s board meeting did confirm that the bowler was going to be sent abroad, they were yet to decide on whether to send the bowler to India or Australia. A final decision was taken yesterday.

BCB said that they want Nazmul to recover before NZ series. This injury is almost 2 months old and now they have decided to send him for surgery? Nazmul also complained few days ago about this delay. So BCB is has spent time unnecessarily. Rubbish.

5 months is more than enough for recovery. That is ofcourse with normal injuries.
He is lucky that he hasnt had a back injury. Back injuries take at least half a year to recover
