#muslimrage
Newsweek had a very controversial and offensive cover to go along with noted Islamophobe Ayaan Hirsi Ali. Newsweek asked its Twitter followers to comment under the hashtag "#muslimrage." What transpired is not what Newsweek intended. While the expected insults and apologists do occur, American Muslims took the hashtag viral ridiculing Newsweek's premise with their own version of this rage.
Here are some examples:
Lost nephew at the airport but cant yell for him because his name is Jihad.
I'm having such a good hair day. No one even knows.
Being born in the Chinese year of the pig.
Waiter didn't tell me my dish had pork and just found out. Dropped my glass of wine.
Ramadan in Iceland when days are 23 hours long.
The shawarma guys wraps my sandwich too tightly, so I have to rip off little pieces of paper bit by bit.
There's no prayer room in this nightclub!
Walks into a building with a backpack on, whole building get evacuated.
When you need to pray at the mall and all the stores with the good fitting rooms are full.
Sudden midseason change of scarf trends; all oblong hijabs go out of fashion.
My iPhone compass won't point me toward Mecca.

Was asked if Bangladesh is "close to Afghanistan". I said it was a thousand miles away. "So you're saying its THAT close!"
