He is a batsman. A very good one but he will have to be in the playing XI first and then make it count

He showed a lot of promise 3-4 years ago. Tall, aggressive and had decent pace too.

He was a decent bowler back in the day. He played for Barishal if I am not mistaken.
But this Sumon Shaha is a 5'3'' batsman.

Hope Anamul goes back to and play this round rather than staying with nazza, JS and SN, who can teach him how to get out...

I have a feeling he will debut in the ODI series. I do not care about his List A average, it is just a number anyway....I feel it is high time we debut him. it doesn't make sense to recall Imrul Kayes(as much as i like him) since he has been out of touch and hasn't done anything significant in a while.
he has the mindset and skill set to do well in ODI, when Tamim debuted ODI, what was his List A average?

The ODIs the games where we actually have a real chance of winning needs to include Kayes as Tamim's opener considering his success in that given format and Anamul as the new number 3 replacing Shariar/Jahurul for good. Bowling wise the 2 regular limited overs spinners Shakib and Razzak with 3 pacers Mashrafe, Nazmul and/or Rubel/Abul/Shafiul (preferably rotating that last fast bowling slot)

yeah i think in ODIs imrul should be the opener which means anamul should be #3, though i'd still be a bit hesitant to give him his ODI cap since FC cricket is his best format. has he played this test series and got a couple of matches under his belt and some runs then i'd be much more enthusiastic about giving him a ODI cap but that didn't happen so it's a real tough call imo to put him one the one-day team. would have beest best to establish him in the test team before bringing him to ODI cricket i think.

I dont want to see any out of form player in the squad, it will ruin team plus their confidence. Let them perform in ncl. If they cant perform in ncl, there is no way they will shine in national team. Oneday team should be
Tamim
Anamul
Jahurul/ mominul
Shakib
Mushfiq
Mahmudullah
Nasir
Ziaur/elias/ gazi
Razzaq
Najmul ( must)
Rubel/ shafiul/ rasel/ tapash baisya( he is in form)

Out of form: sn, junaed, nazimuddin were the best example. When two top order constantly failed, it makes big impact for rest of xi, we cant expect heroic performance from abul or naeem everyday, though they should.

The problem with Bangladesh in Test Cricket is that they do not seem to understand how to play this demanding format properly and that includes it best players. I mean I doubt any of our batters can do a Michael Clarke or Alastair Cook by concentrating for several hours. These are things they need to learn for Test Cricket in order to succeed. I still however feel though that Bangladesh will continue to win many ODI and T20 games from now onwards as its obvious Bangladesh Cricket has evolved somewhat.
