Following the recently concluded test match series with West Indies, most will say same old Bangladesh. Looking at the glass half full one can also say we have made some progress forcing both matches to the 5th day and actually giving the Windies a scare in the first. This little bit of progress can be partly attributed to the ability of some of our batsmen to spend time at the crease and play a long defiant innings. Like Naeem’s century in the first innings, Nasir’s near centuries, and Mahmudullah’s stubborn efforts. What if we had one batsman who could always do this job for us like Dravid used to do for India?
