Thanks Moc bhai. That was indeed my point. We should not just look at glamour and big players. Its a domestic league for the purpose of giving chance to local players.

IPL and Big Bash is mostly about money and glamour. While SLPL was very low key but gave exposure to their own players.

What NCL/BCL is doing for longer versions, I want BPL to do the same for ODI/T20. No one is upset or crying about the glamourless BCL and empty stadiums but we are afraid that BPL will fail coz Pak players aren't coming. We should be grooming Anamul, Mominul, Arafat Sunny and not Sharjeel Khan, Saeed Anwar Jnr, Anwar Alis.

I think KRB an RR don't want to spend money. They already know where they stand. They may be rich but not as brave as DG or BR

surely for KRB and RR they can replace the pakistani players with good quality players but paying less as it won't go through auction?

This is good. The quicker we rid ourselves of the Pak tour, the better. We can now stop worrying about that at the very least.

Hopefully Sri Lankan players do come over. Quality wise, it wouldn't be that much of a step down.

It's unfortunate how the Pakistani players have to suffer due to the *** at the top. We'll see who goes to play for your PPL

BCCi doesn't want BPL to earn too much money....if ind players are here, all Indian sponsors and TV rights party will run in this direction. That they don't want.

due to the Pak player, our marketing was Pak biased, there were atleast two Pak channels who were supposed to buy TV rights for live telecast..now don't know if they will. If they don't, BCB will lose. Unless they can sell it to some other countries like SL...

Due to short time, newly recruited players will also raise their stakes on one to one negotiation....had it been in auction, could have been less. Why didn't BPL take PCB concent before the auction, then they couldn't have backed out... That's what Zaka is using now...but anyway, they would have probably attached this Pak tour clause....

So no problem, lets learn from here and stop being dependent on Pakistan, if you go for oing upcoming players, I think ou can get from almost every country....why BCB isn't looking toward WI? They are supposed to have a good number of T20 payers apart from their main 11

Khulna Royal Bengals, who will be playing the opening match of the competition against the Dhaka Gladiators, had signed up seven Pakistani players this year and the Pakistan Cricket Board's (PCB) decision to deny their players NOCs has affected them the most.

None of the local players in Khulna have played for the national team in the last limited-overs series and with Ricki Wessels and Shane Harwood the only other foreign players in the side, Khulna are in dire need of some good replacements.

Acquiring new players was the need of the hour for a number of other teams as well. Duronto Rajshahi, who had signed up four Pakistani players, claimed to have contacted a number of other international players.

Simon Katich, Moeen Ali and Lahiru Thirimanne are some of the players who the franchise is confident of bringing. On the other hand, Sylhet Royals have reportedly signed up Elton Chigumbura and Suleimann Benn. The BPL governing council also stated that Kieron Pollard might make a comeback to the competition.
