পুলিশি জিজ্ঞাসাবাদে দোকানী জানিয়ে দেয় কে তাকে দামি মোবাইলফোন সেটটি দিয়েছে। বরিশাল বার্নার্সের অণুশীলনে থাকা একজন নেট বোলার নিন্দনীয় কাজটি করেছেন। অনুশীলন শেষ করে যাওয়ার পথে সেটটি তুলে নেন। এরপর সেটি হাত বদলও করেন। জনৈক নেট বোলারের বাবা পুলিশকে অনুরোধ করে ঘটনাটি ফাঁস না করার জন্য। ফোন সেটটি এখনও হাতে পাননি ন্যানেস। সেটি ফেরত দেওয়ার দায়িত্ব পুলিশের। যতক্ষণ পর্যন্ত না ছেলেটির বিরুদ্ধে আইনি প্রক্রিয়া শুরু হচ্ছে ততক্ষণ পর্যন্ত পুলিশ ফোনসেটাটি হস্তান্তর করতে নাও পারে।

সিলেট রয়্যালসের কর্মকর্তাদের কাছ থেকে জানা গেছে, ফোন সেট খোয়া যাওয়া নিয়ে কোন উচ্চবাচ্য করেননি ন্যানেস। এমনকি কোন ধরণের মন্তব্যও তার মুখ থেকে শোনেন নি তারা।
