Shakib - IPL monitor thread

Shakib had a very ordinary IPL with the bat and yet he was still able to hold his place in a very strong KKR side. I am sure he will take a lot of confidence from this outing and comeback much more strongly with the bat in the next edition.

I have a feeling he has learnt his lesson by getting dropped. After he made a comeback, didn't see him play the mind boggling slogs.

What I meant was, he has taken some sort of responsibility now than just going for his slogs aimlessly. That was the whole reason he was dropped for in the first place right? When they were cruising against KXIP, and Shakib just threw his wicket and they ended up losing the match.

Even if you look at Shakib's batting performance for the Worcs in T20, he played without any responsibility whatsoever, just went for his shots from the word go. Didn't value his wicket enough.

So, what I'm trying to convey his, after making a comeback to the KKR XI, he has played with some responsibility and authority. Maybe, sitting in the dug outs for a while did good for his T20 batting.

We have Zim tour around that time. Shakib won't be available for the entire season anyway. So not much to worry about there. Just one more season and I'm sure Shakib will het the hell out of KKR. I hope he will get a team with much better management next season.
