“Their demand was logical as they have been receiving less money than the previous one because of the withdrawal of the performance bonus (a decision taken by the previous board). One player who had earlier received Tk 4 lakh in a year is now getting less than that because of the withdrawal of the performance bonus. I think they should have a good base salary as well as a performance based bonus system. Only good salary structure will lure more people in cricket creating the breeding ground for good cricketers.

বেতন হিসেবে যে টাকা পান, তাতে নাকি অনেকের বাজার খরচও হয় না!

‘এ প্লাস’ শ্রেণীতে আছেন মাশরাফি, সাকিব, মুশফিক, তামিম, রাজ্জাক ও মাহমুদউল্লাহ। ১০ শতাংশ বাড়ানোর পর এঁদের প্রত্যেকের বেতন হওয়ার কথা মাসে দেড় লাখ টাকা। ‘বি’ শ্রেণীর রুবেল, শফিউল ও নাসিরের বেতন হওয়ার কথা এক লাখ টাকা করে। ‘সি’ শ্রেণীতে থাকা জহুরুল ও ইলিয়াস সানির বেতন ৭৫ হাজার টাকা এবং ‘রুকি’ শ্রেণীর সোহাগ, এনামুল (বিজয়), মমিনুল ও হাসানের মাসিক বেতন হওয়ার কথা মাসে ৫০ হাজার। ক্রিকেটারদের দাবির মুখে টাকার অঙ্কগুলো এখন বেড়ে যাবে আরও।

লোয়াড়দের আয় আছে মাসিক বেতনের বাইরেও। প্রতিটি আন্তর্জাতিক ওয়ানডের ম্যাচ ফি ৬০ হাজার টাকা, টি-টোয়েন্টির ৩৫ হাজার টাকা ও টেস্টের দেড় লাখ টাকা। পঞ্চম দিন লাঞ্চের আগেই হেরে গেলে অবশ্য টেস্টের ম্যাচ ফি কমে দাঁড়ায় এক লাখ টাকা।

বোনাস এখন খেলোয়াড়েরা পান হঠাৎ হঠাৎ। কেউ হয়তো বিশেষ কিছু করলেন, তখন বোর্ড ঘোষণা দেয়—অমুক অত টাকা বোনাস পাবেন।

The first line contradicts with the pay scale. Very good income, IMO considering that they are living in Bangladesh.

And they are going to get more raise!!

A good example of having a disaggreement between two groups or parties (in this case the Board Mgmt and the players) and then actually "talking" and "working it out". Instead of going on strike left and right just because you disagree with an issue or policy.

বেতন হিসেবে যে টাকা পান, তাতে নাকি অনেকের বাজার খরচও হয় না! গত ১৪ জানুয়ারির বোর্ড সভায় ১০ শতাংশ বেতন বাড়ানো হলেও সেটাকে তাই যথেষ্ট মনে করছেন না ক্রিকেটাররা। বিসিবির ক্রিকেট পরিচালনা বিভাগ নতুন চুক্তিপত্র তৈরি করে রাখলেও এখনো কোনো খেলোয়াড় তাতে সই করেননি।
