Captain Jannatul Firdous: The First Female Paratrooper In Bangladesh
Captain Jannatul Firdous, an infantrywoman and IT Instructor in the Bangladesh Military Academy (BMA), became the first female paratrooper in the history of the Bangladesh Army! Heartfelt congratulations to this special warrior from the Special Warfare Wing of our Army. We are SO proud of you
Captain Firdous is the daughter of a fertilizer factory worker and grew up in Ashuganj before enrolling into the 59th batch of the BMA.
When asked why she wanted to become a paratrooper, she replied "I want to be able to use this skill on the battlefield if women like me are needed in combat."
This is just the beginning for her inside an exclusive group of our elite warriors, the best of whom train with their counterparts in the US, UK and China.
