Did you guys notice that Google Map has been updated to allow us to search streets and areas in Bangladesh? I'm not sure how much they've done for the other cities, but Dhaka's map has been updated.

For example, look at the Banani area in the following map. Road# 11 has come up when I searched for it. It's still not 100% complete tho, coz I've had trouble using it properly. But it's better than nothing.

The map also seems to be out-dated. Road#11 continues over the lake, as there's now a bridge which connects Gulshan and Banani through the end of Road# 11.

While I was in Dhaka, I could get maps on my phone (Google's windows mobile version of Google Map). Not only it could identify the map; but also I could type in store, business, or area names and it would show point me right to it.

Here is the Mosque of Sixty Domes

Its incorrectly tagged in wikimap; it should be called Mosque of Sixty Domes (not Sixty Piller Mosque).

I wonder if it will keep hartal & maramari & gari bhangchur & aagoon with the street; that sure will be one of a kind street view

I think Sixty Pillars is the right name ...it has about 77 domes (Not exactly sure, but it's much more than 60)

I think The original word Khamba or pillar..has been distorted to Gombuz, as that's a more prominent feature...it does have 60 pillars.
