Got .925 out of 1 in exam. Yeah he grades weird like that...so basically that's an A. A as in an Animal. Not to be confused with min mina Anamul.

Congrats, I believe. During my time GRE scores were out of 2400 (800 each for Verbal, Quantitative, and Analytical) and TOEFL 677. We didn't have the TOEFL iBT not the GRE written.

GRE and TOEFL has undergone several reshapes since your time Dr. Z. Now general GRE scores are 170 each for quant and verbal and a separate 6 marks for analytical. If you believe it, I got my higher score in verbal (169) as compared to quant (162). It's not a written test by the way, totally internet based computer adaptive test.

I would, except I didn't apply in any universities in that region. Thanks anyway.

I can believe it: verbal > quant. Mine was like that too. For me, the equation was verbal = quantitative > analytical. (800/760)

PS: congrats again.

Wow, I sometimes forget how much of a genius you are Dr. Z. Anyway, keep me in your prayers. If I can secure funding, I can start my PhD this fall.

Somehow that post about my GRE did not get in. Anyway, the basic idea was I was the first batch of CBT and funny how I surpassed Analytical to be my highest score, funny cos that actually made the interviewer go shrieking while approving my visa.

Well, came to talk about my achievement today. Got our graduate advisor agree to be my primary advisor for thesis. Anybody who knows Dr. Kenneth Magel, will know how big this achievement is. Hard days are ahead though.

Just beat Zunaid Kazi in Words with Friends

Just to put things in perspective, Doc has perfect score in Toefel, SAT, ACT, Mensa Test, Omega Society test and what not.

I like scrabble

Dearest bhais and apus,

I have recieved my M.S. in Landscape Design from Columbia University at the end of last year(October) and about to do my walk at the graduation ceremony next month in May. Too bad my mom missed seeing it as she passed away last month and my father being so sick now won't be able to come and see the ceremony either. My amma was really excited about it and she was hoping to come see this graduation. Both my parents encouraged me on studying more and more no matter how old I get.

So, to all my bros and sis, keep working hard and studying hard and DO NOT STOP, keep going forward, no matter whatever happens around you.

Alhamdulillah - Allah be praised.

Congratz Bro, my next achievement would be finding the right bride and getting hooked.

Still for that.

Achievement now - browsing and posting in BC using w3m in Ubuntu Server
through Virtual Box on Windows 8. Gotta figure out Fedora 18 though.
Other achievement, had a blasting chat session with my ex-boss of DOEL
who is now in Cali. Already offered me a job - some manager he is.

Bhais and apus, I write these stuff about some degrees and stuff here, not to brag or to show off, but to encourage my bhais and apus, because I know many many bhais and apus who drop out due to many mnay different reasons, what I try to mean here is, there is NO stop in it, there never should be a final stop, you can always come back to school at a later age and finish the unfinished job. And it is a must, the job someday MUST be finished. AGE is nothing, I am 42, so what? We shall all keep going forward. and Nothing but forward. Allah's love and blessing be with us all.

Congratz, and your words are very encouraging to me.
Plz try to share your knowledge for the welfare of our society. We badly need people like you to step up. You may earn thousands of $$ and give charity but your small sacrifice of time for the welfare of society will be remembered more i believe.
