yup - good bump. First we are collecting pledges. It's better to get a nice round number with momentum going - drip drip funding takes forever. I've been involved with enough fundraising (www.agami.org) to know this much.

Ian, FYI - I've started a pledge drive on the o-pheee-shi-yaal thay-read

Good strategy! However, I made my payment through Ian's website already. Please advise if I need to pull my funds and put it somewhere else...

Hey Ian, can u please set up a page in Facebook about this project so I can promote this with my friends. I'm quite hopeful that I can bring few more donors to this project.

Bump time, any updates on this. Would have been helpful for Bangladesh cricket. Seeing the responses it seems many were interested to donate.

Ask cricbook bhai to donate. Then no one else would even need to pay anything.

India has the Ultimate Pace Foundation now with Ian's own money and without sponsor. No sponsors want to sponsor the BD version of the pace academy. But we need sponsors to set up the BD version of Pace academy, we have to get sponsors somehow. We are already behind India

Did not have much of a respect for Pont after the Atul Sharma hoax. Glad to hear no one is sponsoring him for a re-entry into Bangladesh cricket.

Don't think Indians are stupid enough either to let him anywhere near IPL or any of their elite players.

How about a spin academy?

Atm, our spin is weaker than the pace attack...

Keep trying Ian. People will say many things but that shouldn't stop you. All Great ideas are generally opposed by people, because they are great. Grameen in our own country was struggling to get money for years, but that didn't stop Prof Yunus, and the result is in front of you.

If you are confident in your ability to produce results, keep trying to get the fund, I'm sure you will get it. Bangladesh needs such private initiatives.

I'm happy that you haven't yet given up. All the best.
