Isn't this, a bit too generic?

Oh well, could've been worse.

Superbowl 95, 96. Vs 11 and 12
This was designed by an Aussie - I guess he was told, take some old ICC WC logos, add in red and green somehow. He probably has not idea as to what might be a representative symbol he could have used. They got what they paid for. At least this is not one of the overly busy logos with bad quality gifs stolen from the internet with no understanding of design principles - form or factor ro color.

Our logo is not bad. But could use our flag/nature more efficiently. It's too simple looking.

Why was it not given to a Bangladeshi artist? The inspiration would have been there and also, would have costed the BCB a lot less! Haire BCB!

BCB may have had no say in this.

Designed in Australia by design company WiteKite who also designed the ICC Cricket World Cup logo in 2011, the ICC World Twenty20 2012 Sri Lanka mark and the distinctive logo for the ICC Women's World Cup 2013 India.
So that is why the design is jaded and and looks referential. They may have given the ICC a buy one get three free deal.
