Lost faith in his bowling tbh, reckon he'll still be solid but he's not as good as he was so he needs to work on it, plenty of spinners passing him by now. batting, I reckon he will become more of a batting all rounder rather than a genuine all rounder, hope he improves with both but I'm just not feeling that he will atm.

Same here. I think he has lost that magic touch with the ball. If you look at his bowling action from 2008-09, you will see that he gradually changed his bowling action and now, it is having a negative impact on him.

Possibly, he is becoming a bit too predictable for the batsmen.

Shakib is enjoying the fruit of his hard labor or, should we say, sheer talent. Hope he does not enjoy it too much and forget the very thing that brought him these good things in life and lose his interest all together.

Wow, how so typical. I was away for a while and glad to see that Shakib bashing hasn't subsided much
He's rated the top because he still HAS performed well as an allrounder. Well ideally I would love to score all the tons and take 10fers or whatever, but such posts are laughable - he still earned the position where he's at - he still scores consistently even if you merely look at the batting aspect. Inability to convert is a flaw, which is obviously a fair criticism, but to deride whatever he's done so far is just

As for my worries, I'm really worried that his bowling has gone downhill too. But to think that it has to do with him being complacent is ridiculous. Yes, I would like to work on his bowling better, but I think he has taken it a bit easy on the bowling since they have a genuine spinner (Gazi) now and concentrating more on the batting. I think I did read somewhere that he finds it hard to balance batting and bowling perfectly. That's the case with most allrounders really.

Still, way more capable than what he's doing now though. He's a quality spinner and I hope he doesn't let that go.

Made it up with his bowling atleast, would have gotten a second wicket if not for Akmal being himself behind the stumps.
