^^isnt it obvious?

anyway what i dont understand is that a latge amount of people in Bangladesh watch this matches, even if the number is significantly low in proportion to the countries' total population still thats a big number..it'll be still big when wi and nz play together and both countries' watching people put together. but still BCB finds it hard to get TV broadcasting bids..ming goggling

I think Performance and team's brand value is the factor here. Dont think total population has anything to do with it. And BCB's incompetence is not helping either..

no i was thinking like more people watching=attracts more sponsors=more advertising

that kind of things..say you want to spread your product in Bangladesh, whats better then to give ads during the matches?..wouldn't this attract more Broadcasters

Logically yes, thats how it's supposed to be. You are right on the money but the reality is harsh. Broadcasters are looking at the brand value of our team. Cant really blame them.

But lets see what BCB can do. They are famous for putting things together at the last minute..

You perform and the world will run after you. We need to perform well in tests in order to gain respect. .

I think this is more of a BCB doesn't know how to conduct themselves rather than our team sucks so much type of issue. If you look at our recent record, we have been playing pretty good. BCB has been reactive rather than proactive as usual. This is the not the first time we are having difficulties find broadcasters. Maybe just putting an ad out there and waiting for someone to bite isn't the best approach. I'm sure a lot can be done from inside the organization to implement a better method/approach.

^^ I don't think Ian meant 'Ireland is better than Bangladesh'. Rather he's implying that if Bangladesh with such large number of fan following, good infrastructure, wealthy cricket board, can't attract broadcasters for a test series, then how come Ireland with small number of cricket fans, no proper infrastructure compare to Bangladesh can convince ICC to grant them Test status.

Got it ?

Hear hear. Wasn't so hard to decipher Ian's post now, was it? Yet people's judgement is clouded by their strong dislike for the man. You may not like someone, but that doesn't mean you jump on him at every opportunity you get, refusing to acknowledge his messages for what they are and in turn making yourself look bad.

Any public figure who maintains a social presence like Ian does is subject to scrutiny and criticism, sometimes deservedly, but he didn't deserve it this time.

That tweet is just #Facepalm and #FAIL on so many levels. But I won't bother, not worth it.
