A lot depends on 1st session and rest of the batting order. If wickets fall early tomorrow, mushy and nasir will have to bat almost 2 sessions and draw the match. Rather momin and shak just try to bat as long as possible.

Getting another 136 runs tomorrow will be a tough enough task, even with the likes of Mushy and Nasir yet to come.

And even if we set NZ a target of 250, do we have the bowling to kill their chase? Rubel, Raj and Al-Amin have been shown up at this level, with all of them guilty of bowling 1-2 boundary balls per over. Nasir's occasional offspin, despite being somewhat effective (albeit lucky) in this series, is unlikely to scare the Kiwis. Gazi appears to have been worked out in this test, with the Kiwis having done their homework on him after the first test. That leaves only Shak, who having only just come back from injury (and having already bowled 40 overs in this test), cannot be expected to shoulder another 20-25 over workload tomorrow.

Before you know it, there will be Rubel batting with Razzak - Razzak will go for a duck, Rubel will be not out on 8. We will be all out before lunch, giving the Kiwis less that 170/180 to win in 2 sessions. Kiwis will do it in 1. Anderson will be the MoM. Kalam will praise Shakib. Our dearest captain will give post match interview to Shamim saying - 'DEFINITELY'... we lost but we will take all the POSITIVES from the match and apply them to the ODI series...'

Yes - been there.. done it... bought a T-shirt.

good luck Bangladesh

I was there too, but unlike few, it was rather an enjoyable experience for me!

If we compare the likes of Shakib, Tamim, Nasir, Mushy, Mominul, Gazi with Golla, Pilot and Bashar, we are doing a mistake here - Shakib and Co. is a different breed of cricketers, they play to win, not সম্মান জনক পরাজয়!

kisher draw ? we are in a good position with a lead of 114 runs with Sakib & Momin both set batsmen in da middle.
And then there is choto gadha & panku NAsir.
I say we bat carefully early on, I'm sure Sakib won't be quiet , he will play his shots, and as long us SAkib is in the middle runs will come quickly.
I say if these two can add another 50 -60 together & one f them gets out, send NAsir the catalyseur.
And go for a win

We need to survive until lunch tomorrow...with wickets in hand. All talk about going for the win should come after that.

Surviving 50 overs on a 5th day pitch with only 2 batsmen to come is tough enough already. We lost 7 wickets within 70 runs in the first inning on a batting friendly wicket. I will aim for a draw and it will be very good draw.

Now if NZ folds like deck of cards due to some magical bowling from Shak and Gazi, that's a different story.

Under any circumstances we can add 100 runs that will give us a 214-run lead and the match will go to the wire....

with rain chance of any play on 1st session is very low, if 1st session does wipes out chance of any result other then draw is gone..if this happens i think BD should play for Personal glory

Bat long enough to make sure we can't lose, and then declare to see how they respond. Batting errors due to the pressure to go for it may get us the wickets the alleged quality of our bowling will, a fact reinforced by Mushfiq's brain dead field setting and harmful bowler management.

At least bat until lunch. After lunch, go for broke and get as close to a 300 target. I wouldn't give them more than 45 overs, as per Tintin's stats. No team chasing in 4th has won if they had less than 45 overs at hand.

Use this chance for full day batting practice and prepare for upcoming matches where resullts are must even in five over innings. Besides we gotta start looking more for Asia cup & WT20 next.
I'll take a century from Shak & double from Mominul any day before a BD playing rain-effected test match rot into draw.
