If he get some chance, he may surprise some folks. Its not easy for a younger FB to shine. On the other hand he have experience and success in limited over. He may feel more comfortable in this format.

Good luck Al Amin. I was impressed whatever I saw in test specially opening with the new ball.

He has the physique to do well, but is he coachable? Can he think for himself? I hope so.

Variations key to Al-Amin's feat

Al-Amin Hossain's clever use of pace and length helped him become the first bowler in Twenty20s to pick up five wickets in one over.
After bowling three tidy overs for UCB-BCB XI in their Victory Day T20 Cup match, he was tasked to bowl the final over, with Abahani on 143 for 5 in 19 overs. Al-Amin started with a slower ball that Mehedi Maruf hit straight to deep point, where Arafat Sunny took the catch. After a dot ball, he had big-hitting Nazmul Hossain Milon caught by Imrul Kayes at deep midwicket, the batsman having struck a six and two fours in his 11-ball 21.

Good to hear he's been working hard with Jurgensen.

Hmmm first Robiul and then Al-Amin credited Jurgensen. And I thought (based on some fans' feedback) that he is no-good as a bowling coach.

Not really disagreeing with you but just that it will be awkward if he said that Jurgensen is useless

Yes it would be be awkward...that's whey they have the 3rd option you know... its not that either you praise your coach or say he is useless... you can choose to say "nothing" if you think he is useless... that's the best choice when you think the coach has no contribution at all.

But both of them chose to give credit to the coach. Is it purely for "Tel Malish"? Possible, but as multiple players said that and there are collaborative news that validate that he indeed spent time with the mentioned player(s) tends to believe may be its time for us to remove the tag "useless bowling coach" from Jurgensen.

He bowled reasonably well today. Started off very nicely. He doesn't have express pace (speed guns range 118-126) but decent control. But it looked faster than that and I think there might be some issues with speed gun.

yeah i would say Alamin would be around 130-135. Not bad in a dead CTG pitch. He has more control than Rubel

He's still a raw product but he has the makings to be a decent pacer. Definitely has more control compared to Rubel.

control is good, 130-135kph pace is good, hopefully with a bit of experience he can be a decent test pacer.

Al Amin is collapsing his front leg rather than keeping it locked. He's losing a few yards of pace because of that.

That's a very sound observation

Alhamdulillah! I really like him. The kid should stay humble, fit... literally one injury can destroy a pacer's career.

I have hyped this boy for some time now. Although other pacers in the team has height, Al-Amin is the only one who has shown the ability to use it. I hope he reaches his potential.

ye I agree his fielding looked very sub-par but at the end of the day fielding is something that can be improved upon quite easily with time, lets hope his bowling develops at a more faster rate!

Man the dude has so little control and places absolutely zero thought into his bowling. He's going to be annihilated by the big teams if he continues to bowl like a moron. Why can't we find a pacer whose IQ exceeds that of mental retardation?

Completely agree. Out of all the people who got yelled and screamed by Mushfiq today, Al Amin certainly deserved his fare share. Pretty sure if he was running instead of spectating by the boundary, it would have been a good effort at a catch. Does he expect the ball to just come to him? Someone should make him watch how Sabbir/Riyad ran all the way to take those catches during the Afghanistan game.

His fielding was so poor and not to mention his bowling wasn't even top class and yet he walked away with the man of the match. In my opinion, Bijoy should have got it.
