We just don't learn or like Mushy said, we are slow learners. From Rokon to Nasir.Disgrace!

Dont know who will be the next one to make us jump up and down again. This trend is not stopping any time soon.

Nasir comes late in the batting order in ODI and T20. And he is not routinely used as a part time bowler. That makes Nasir's role in the team very specific, i.e. when he comes, he need to start scoring from get-go. Unlike other bowling rounders and becuse he has only one specitic role, its expected that he will score runs in good SR in consistent basis.

There is no room for him to start slowly and catchup the RR later on, or he can get a century and get breathing room/ jail free pass so that in his next few innings he can get away with low scores.

Its not that easy to survive in that very specific role set by the management, specially when you are struggling.

Team management need to think hard and fast how he should be used in near future with the consideration that he is struggling right now:

a) Either they need to make the hard choice to drop him with the hope that he will regain his form back in local league; or

b) Continue to keep him in the team with expanded role ( and minimize the pressure) and hope that he will eventually regain his form back. That means a commitment from the managementment that they will constantly use nasir as a part time bowler (6th bowler) also. And also promote him in the batting order (few slots may be) so that he has more time to rebuild his innings without worring about his RR at the begining.

Now t20 is a completely different format and (unlike ODI) keep good RR is always important from the begining of the iinings. Pressure to scoring quick runs wlll always be there regardless where he start his innings in T20.

good point there mama ...his batting style is needed for T20 but as you said minimizing pressure to help him release some pressure from him so that he can score...like our Sir Matin did when he was the only hope...I think he gained back performed but messed up by getting involved in so many things...don't tell me Nasir following Sir's path...I miss Sir though very much..is there any change of return for Sir

hehe, he still is my son, he is just going through a bad time, but this bad time is too long, team comes first, I always believe that players should be picked based on there recent form (not reputation) , but players like NAs,Sak,TI,Mash are special so they deserve an extended run to come back in form but NAsir is just not getting there.

Nasir needs some batting practice, so does Mahmudullah. Forgot the last time I saw them batting, will be needed for the Super 10s. Was a good decision today to send Shabbir up the order for some batting practice, the confidence gained here might be vital against the crucial do/die situations in the Super 10s and we need Nasir to fire for sure!

From Shakib 2.0 to an utility player who can bat a little and bowl a little...
this guy needs to get back his form asap
if he bowls like this in super 10...god knows what will happen...and we haven't seen his batting yet..hope he is working hard on that

nasir really does need to find some form so sending him up the order is an option.

Backing this idea to send Nasir and Mahmudullah to open.

We have then sorted our batting, what about our bowling?

Yes... both Nasir and Riyad need some batting practice and next game is the one to try them early. This is with the assumption that both players (considered by the management) are part of the core team in upcomming T20 Worrl cup games.

Sure..they have done enough practice to play local tournaments only. Simply rubbish

Nasir should be dropped. Momin can take his place.

Nasir is nearly a gone case. All he can show for himself is his fielding which also has detorairated. He is there as a batsman and he is crap at that. I think he spends too much time focusing on his image rather than his cricket.

What an epic fall from grace!! Koeydin ageo Nasir chilo automatic choice, shobar chokher moni, oneker avatar. Ar ajke shobai bole Nasir ke khedao Zia/Shabbir ke dhukao.

But Zia toh squad e nai. So he should play in the first match. This should be the squad

Tamim
Anamul
Mominul (part time bowler)
Shakib
Mushy
Shabbir (part time bowler)
Nasir (part time bowler)
Riyad
Gazi
Mash
AlAmin
--
8 batsmen and Riyad, 5 full time + 3 part time bowlers. This is as balanced as it gets with the current 15.

Nasir deserves to get the chop but I would hold off on the axe for now based on his previous records. Players like him can come back strongly, so I would give him this world cup. If he can sort things out, it will be magnificent but if not, he needs to be out of the team for a long time.

In the meantime, they really need to focus on Shabbir and let him get the exposure as much as possible. Shabbir is an exciting prospect. Lets not ruin it
