Oh man! I was hoping he'd be a wicket taker based on his record in tests and the one ODI

If I were coach I'd give Mash and Taskin license to kill and ask Rubel to slow it down considerably and just target the right areas. Those who have bowled pace would know it's not all that difficult to make that adjustment.

The goal should be to get Moeen, Hales, and Buttler (in the late order) out asap. We need to be aggressive here, not defensive (ie don't focus too much on containment bowling).

Other Brits are accumulators, and can be tied down within reasonable scoring rates (and for that Riyad and Nasir will be enough).

One thing is for sure - Papon-Sujon combo disturbed Mash's plan how to handle lefties when they sent Al Amin home. Perhaps they thought Rubel is a seasoned enough campaigner to adjust and fill in the void, which did not work out.

Now question remains whether pairing Shak with Mash (like they did against Scots) will work out against against a left-right combo. Shak knows Moeen from U/19 days, even played a county season together. He needs to tell the management whether he thinks he will be able to outfox his buddy, or wants Taskin or Shafi for the job.
