Default 100 Things I learned from this world cup

Consider it a BC spa. Let's all relax and have a breather. No bother in pilpul and polemics. Whatever happened happened. Let go. There is always #2019. If our generation cannot envision the trophy next one sure will. We are the pioneer fans who suffered..

Okay:

1. Riyad is our best batsman, surprise!
2. Just when you thought Shamim Chowdhury and CJS cannot be trumped, along came
Sanjee and Dada
3. Technically speaking, knee length dying ball is actually no ball
4. Umpires decision..sorry Umpire Steve Davis decision is final in MCC laws.
5. With a required run rate of 13 or so and 10-12 overs remaining India qualified for semis.
6. Rohit is so bad--- he won the man of match before the game.
7. If Dhawan SEES a ball flying over boundary, it's out
8. LBWs are iffy. Deal with it.
9. Forget who will win the QF, put on pulse question- -oooooh- who will India face in semis with 10 overs remaining
10. What part of "control" in BCCI you don't get?

carry on

11. Umpire can be more happy than fielder after a run out.

135 Kph will be labelled as 115 kph/gentle pace

That poll made me die with laughter . How can you start a poll when the match has still 12 overs to go? Who will India play in Semi final?? It would have been a big LOL on poll creators if BD would have chased from that position. Wonder what they would have done? Changed the poll??

Rohit Sharma MOM one at first seemed a bit presumptuous. But now come to think of it, it becomes clear that people who have played cricket know more about it than the fans. It was Ganguli(?) who said that. And he was right!! Just shows that those sportsmen who are willing to take that extra bit of risk, can be great achievers ( or can fail miserably).

16) Always bat first in knock out game.

15. BD bowls and gets hit, its a 'good batting' from opponent . Same pitch, BD bats well, hits well, 'the pitch is so flat'' - Commies/'experts'

replace BD with Ind and you get what BC says about Indian team.

True.
On a serious note, this Indian team is a much better one which won the world cup. They have good pace bowlers, can bat on fast bouncy tracks and definitely have fearless mentality.

bowling is definitely better but you can't replace an in-form yuvi.

India cricket fans are the worst of all fanbases of all sports in the world. 80% of pre- and post-game comments ranged from poor to awful with a remarkably high % of them being classless. (Actually, already got a whiff of that after they won WC 2011.)

It's impossible to support India as a neighboring and fellow SC country.

Rubel can bowl at 145 kph.

Our pace attack isn't all that bad in these conditions. Our spin attack is.

Soumya and Riyad are exciting prospects in higher order. Riyad already showed promise playing at 4 in the Zim series, but two WC centuries vs Eng and NZ is quite special.

- Bangladesh will always be considered minnows
- Indians and Pakistanis will always mock us
- Bangladeshis will still be shameless and still support Indian/Pakistan

18. BD fans will always find something to blame them even if majority of Indian fans support BD after India.

^^Don't know about the majority IN fans supporting BD...but speak for yourself, man.

19. "Wasp" attack clouded the mind and concentration of the elite ICC umpire...the one and only...Mr. Aleem Dar during a very important knockout match.

It is pointless to organize a day night at MCG when toss decides outcome.

Did not follow BD cricket since 2011 WC, and I was certain that I had completely weaned myself off, but realized during this WC that I was wrong.
