This is a good news. Our batsmen will get some good practise before facing the likes of McGrath, Brett Lee.

Right FRB..
After being highly scared by Harmison-Hoggard-Flintoff... I dont think our batsmen will play Shoaib carelessly. Besides...Shoaib is just starting his season in England... so he will take some time to get going... and he may also destroy his own accuracy just by trying to blow out bangladesh which is his typical attitude.

Good or bad... I like the idea of facing Shoaib prior to the Natwest. It will benifit us.

As long as ODI is concerened, Shoaib is not a threat for our batsmen, I believe. Although he got 5 wickets from last two matches during last Asia Cup in Sri Lanka (when BD played awfully bad except against Hong Kong), but in two different occassions he could not get any wicket at all.

But it is interesting that Shoaib was granted special permission to play in the match by both the ECB and Bangladesh, as his contract officially starts on July 1st. But he is already getting used to life at Worcestershire. "Shoaib has settled in well since arriving last week," said Worcestershire's chief executive, Mark Newton, "and this game is an ideal opportunity for him to show everybody how well he is bowling."
